Cookies and local storage
The portal uses browser local storage to remember your light or dark theme and keep an administrator signed in. If you accept optional visitor counting, it also stores a random browser identifier. That identifier lets repeat visits from the same browser count once. The displayed total is a count of participating browsers rather than individual people.
Your accept or reject choice is saved in local storage so the prompt does not appear on every visit. Rejecting does not create a visitor identifier. If you change an accepted choice to reject, the portal removes its stored identifier and requests removal from the count.
Visitor counting: no choice saved.
You can also remove saved values through your browser’s site-data controls. External map providers may apply their own storage practices when their tiles load.
